OEADC Roles

Office of Educational Affairs, DC (OEA) has been assigned by The Office of the Civil Service Commission(OCSC) the mission of taking responsibility for the educational supervision of Thai government scholarship students, government officials and Thai students under supervision of the CSC who study or train in the United States and Canada.

Our roles and responsibilities are mainly to ensure that Thai scholars and government officials can successfully complete their study and training within the defined plan and period of study or training with as few problems as possible. The details of roles and responsibilities are listed below ;

  • promote, support and co-ordinate overseas educational programs, training or study visits of government scholarship and King's Scholarship recipients and civil servants
  • oversee and provide support for recipients of government scholarship, King's Scholarships and civil servants overseas with regard to educational programs, accommodations and finances
  • promote, support, co-ordinate with and motivate Thai students studying overseas to return to work in Thailand
  • serve as a center to publicize information on the Thai education system and culture overseas, and co-ordinate and prepare information on overseas education for the benefit of civil service personnel management
